1. About TaxPrepUK
TaxPrepUK is a data preparation tool that helps UK sole traders and landlords transform spreadsheet data into clean, categorised quarterly summaries suitable for MTD ITSA bridging software. TaxPrepUK is not a tax adviser, accountant, bridging tool, or HMRC software provider.
2. Not financial or tax advice
TaxPrepUK does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. The categorisations, health check results, and summaries generated by TaxPrepUK are automated outputs based on keyword matching and pattern detection. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and correcting all data before submitting to HMRC. Always consult a qualified accountant if you are unsure about your tax position.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to: (a) provide accurate information when creating your account; (b) review all exported data before using it for tax purposes; (c) not use TaxPrepUK for any unlawful purpose; (d) maintain the security of your account credentials.
4. Free plan and paid subscriptions
The Free plan includes one export per calendar month. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on paid plans — contact us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund.
5. Limitation of liability
TaxPrepUK is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it is error-free or suitable for your specific circumstances. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of TaxPrepUK is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 3 months.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of TaxPrepUK after notice of changes constitutes acceptance.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
